{"id":301368,"date":"2026-03-17T09:28:36","date_gmt":"2026-03-17T16:28:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.teslarati.com\/?p=301368"},"modified":"2026-03-17T09:28:36","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T16:28:36","slug":"tesla-robotaxi-appears-heading-new-u-s-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.teslarati.com\/tesla-robotaxi-appears-heading-new-u-s-city\/","title":{"rendered":"Tesla Robotaxi appears to be heading to a new U.S. city"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tesla Robotaxi appears to be heading to a new U.S. city, and although the company has revealed plans to launch in six new metros this year, it has yet to establish a new location outside of Austin and the Bay Area of California, where it has operated since last Summer.<\/p>\n<p>A lot full of Model Y vehicles was spotted in Henderson, a town just north of Las Vegas, but there seems to be more than just this hint <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teslarati.com\/tesla-boring-co-vegas-loop-big-change\/\">indicating that the Sin City will be the next location<\/a> to offer potentially driverless rides in a Tesla using its Full Self-Driving suite.<\/p>\n<p>These Model Ys are not your typical vehicles, as they are fitted with hardware that is only on Robotaxis: a rear camera washer is the dead giveaway:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\ud83d\udea8 These rear camera washers are only present on Robotaxi vehicles<\/p>\n<p>Maybe Las Vegas is the next city to get the Robotaxi suite \ud83d\ude00 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/my3da5L4zc\">https:\/\/t.co\/my3da5L4zc<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/jYFQuX1j2E\">pic.twitter.com\/jYFQuX1j2E<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 TESLARATI (@Teslarati) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Teslarati\/status\/2033910566238966004?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 17, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The photos and video of the lot were taken by TheZacher on X, who spotted the Model Y fleet in the Henderson parking lot.<\/p>\n<p>The rear camera washer is the main piece of evidence here that indicates Tesla could be looking to expand Robotaxi to Las Vegas, a major ride-hailing hot spot, as it is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the United States. Ride-sharing is a major industry in Vegas, especially for those who are staying off the Strip.<\/p>\n<p>Tesla has also been extremely transparent that Vegas is on its radar for the Robotaxi fleet, as it revealed last year that it was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teslarati.com\/tesla-confirms-robotaxi-heading-five-new-cities-u-s\/\">one of five new U.S. cities that it planned to launch the ride-hailing service<\/a> in this year.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"wApndl7tly\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teslarati.com\/tesla-confirms-robotaxi-heading-five-new-cities-u-s\/\">Tesla confirms Robotaxi is heading to five new cities in the U.S.<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden;\" title=\"&#8220;Tesla confirms Robotaxi is heading to five new cities in the U.S.&#8221; &#8212; TESLARATI\" src=\"https:\/\/www.teslarati.com\/tesla-confirms-robotaxi-heading-five-new-cities-u-s\/embed\/#?secret=IzmRe7XRoa#?secret=wApndl7tly\" data-secret=\"wApndl7tly\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The others were Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, and Miami.<\/p>\n<p>Things are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teslarati.com\/tesla-finally-brings-robotaxi-update-android-users-will-love\/\">expanding for Robotaxi,<\/a> but the big sign that it is really moving along greatly will be with the expansion to a new city.
