He shared the update in a post on social media platform X.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amidst Tesla\u2019s announcement that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teslarati.com\/tesla-cybercab-first-unit-giga-texas-photo\/\">first Cybercab has been produced<\/a> at Giga Texas\u2019 production line, some members of the Tesla community immediately started joking about how the milestone will affect a wager shared by popular YouTube tech reviewer Marques Brownlee (MKBHD.)\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following Tesla\u2019s We, Robot event in October 2024, MKBHD noted that while the Cybercab was impressive in a lot of ways, he is <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/tech-youtuber-mkbhd-says-ill-203048627.html?guccounter=1&amp;guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&amp;guce_referrer_sig=AQAAANiQzVw7fAojqWaic54M-bO-zd8pLGp3YrcJ3ovl1NjtbNBLJRj5UuIKXJr6wkEBdoFKyEPkH6V3yjjRfPxOt-TCgu-PQBhsHhirP7bHmHd3yoTLOnAUV_8zzR9GcY8akmyZT3S53q34iVJcRxZWTOfJnIXf9wGSAWU8iKOwdEBJ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">very skeptical<\/a> about Elon Musk\u2019s estimate that the autonomous two-seater could be sold to consumers for below $30,000 around 2027.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Gonna happen \ud83d\ude02<\/p>&mdash; Elon Musk (@elonmusk) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/2023875104435007573?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 17, 2026<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think the obvious red flag, the biggest red flag to me is the timeline stuff. This is notorious Elon stuff. He gets on stage, he says we\u2019re going to have this vehicle out for $30,000 before 2027,\u201d&nbsp; he said, adding \u201cNo, they\u2019re not. There\u2019s just no way that they\u2019re actually going to be able to do that. I mean, if they do, let\u2019s say they do, I will shave my head on camera because I\u2019m that confident.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was then no surprise that meme images of MKBHD with his head shaved immediately spread on X following Tesla\u2019s announcement that the first Cybercab has been built at Giga Texas. One of these, which was posted by longtime FSD tester <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/wholemars\/status\/2023865688398700968?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Whole Mars Catalog<\/a>, received a response from Elon Musk. The CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/2023875104435007573?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">responded<\/a> with the words \u201cGonna happen,\u201d together with a laughing emoji.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"und\" dir=\"ltr\">Yes<\/p>&mdash; Elon Musk (@elonmusk) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/2023900808979386438?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 17, 2026<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from riding jokes about MKBHD\u2019s wager, Musk also confirmed that Tesla will be selling a Cybercab to regular consumers before 2027, and the vehicle will be priced for $30,000 or less. In response to an X user who asked if the exact scenario will be happening, Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/2023900808979386438?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">responded<\/a> with a simple \u201cYes.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the first Cybercab has been produced at Giga Texas, it would not be surprising if the following months will only see low volumes of the autonomous two seater being produced. As per Elon Musk in previous comments, the Cybercab\u2019s early production will likely be slow, but it will eventually be extremely fast. \u201cFor Cybercab and Optimus, almost everything is new, so
