When both the Super Heavy booster and the Starship Upper Stage successfully landed on their designated splashdown zones, the space community was celebrating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The largest and most powerful rocket in the world had successfully completed its tenth test flight. And this time around, there were no rapid unscheduled disassemblies during the mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Hey CNN, there&#39;s a typo in your headline. But that\u2019s where one would be wrong, because Elon Musk companies, whether it be Tesla or SpaceX or xAI, tend to attract negative slant from mainstream media outlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">You don&#39;t hate the MSM enough <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/43nzD2cUOw\">pic.twitter.com\/43nzD2cUOw<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Robin (@xdNiBoR) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/xdNiBoR\/status\/1960609018592027112?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 27, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This was in full force with Starship Flight 10\u2019s coverage. Take the <em>BBC<\/em>\u2019s Facebook <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bbcnews\/posts\/pfbid0viHynqRJrAdkd6nCrbNzwaysCwZWUvMVwL1kpihmYArY17wjFupHXeyy1wBuAKqDl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">post<\/a> about the fight test, which read \u201cElon Musk\u2019s giant rocket, earmarked for use in a 2027 mission to the Moon, has had multiple catastrophic failures in previous launches.\u201d <em>CNN<\/em> was more direct with its slant, writing \u201cSpaceX\u2019s troubled Starship prototype pulls off successful flight after months of explosive mishaps\u201d on its headline.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While some media outlets evidently adopted a negative slant towards Starship\u2019s Flight 10 results, several other media sources actually published surprisingly positive articles about the successful test flight. The most notable of which is arguably the <em>New York Times<\/em>, which featured a headline that read \u201cSpaceX\u2019s Giant Mars Rocket Completes Nearly Flawless Test Flight.\u201d <em>Fox News<\/em> also ran with a notably positive headline that read \u201cSpaceX succeeds at third Starship test flight attempt after multiple scrubs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Wow positive MSM today on Starship launch! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/bmYhQ6CNdc\">pic.twitter.com\/bmYhQ6CNdc<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Nic Cruz Patane (@niccruzpatane) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/niccruzpatane\/status\/1960606303866511878?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 27, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Having covered Elon Musk-related companies for the better part of a decade now, I have learned that mainstream coverage of any of his companies tends to be sprinkled with varying degrees of negative slant. The reasons behind this may never be fully explained, but it is just the way things are. This is why, when milestones such as Starship\u2019s Flight 10 actually happen and mainstream media coverage becomes somewhat objective, I can\u2019t help but be amazed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After all, it takes one heck of a company led by one heck of a leader to force objectivity on an entity that has proven subjective over the years.
