With Tesla\u2019s\u00a0recent announcement of a very appealing lease arrangement,\u00a0though, perhaps the Model S is more affordable than many people think.<\/p>\n
The exact quote from\u00a0Tesla\u00a0CEO Elon Musk regarding the cheaper model, as quoted by\u00a0AutoblogGreen<\/em>, was: \u201cHopefully 2016, but I would say no later than 2017.\u201d<\/p>\n The new model is as of now without a name, but some details about it have been released. It will be of a somewhat smaller size than the\u00a0Model S, and priced at around half of what the Model S is currently going for. As of now, a new Model S ranges between $70,000 and $100,000 before tax credits and rebates (such as the $7,500 federal tax credit and the $2,500 California rebate).
